«Ego-medium» as a phenomenon of the technogenic civilization

«Ego-medi­um» as a phe­nom­e­non of the techno­genic civ­i­liza­tion

Abstract. Accord­ing to the the­o­ry of techno­genic civ­i­liza­tion, tech­nol­o­gy and its inten­sive devel­op­ment play a deci­sive role in con­tem­po­rary social life. The log­ic of techno­genic civ­i­liza­tion devel­op­ment leads the world to the pos­si­bil­i­ty of posthu­man trans­for­ma­tions. “Ego-medi­um” is a mod­ern infor­ma­tion clo­sure of indi­vid­u­als on them­selves. “Ego-medi­um” is a mod­ern man­i­fes­ta­tion of the infor­ma­tion-vir­tu­al vec­tor, in which the posthu­man devel­op­ment of techno­genic civ­i­liza­tion pro­ceeds. In the focus of the ulti­mate ideas about vir­tu­al real­i­ty, the the­o­ry of “ego-medi­um” indi­cates that techno­genic civ­i­liza­tion has tak­en anoth­er step towards the for­ma­tion of posthu­man real­i­ties. The the­o­ry of “ego-medi­um” sets anoth­er pos­i­tive basis for the for­ma­tion of post-techno­genic civ­i­liza­tion. The author bases his analy­sis of the prob­lem of “ego-medi­um” on the method of inter­pre­ta­tion and recon­struc­tion of philo­soph­i­cal views, the sys­tem approach, the method of ascent from the abstract to the con­crete, and the sce­nario approach.
